68-Year-Old Woman Arrested in Greater Inwood Hit-and-Run, Charged with DWI and Assault After Biting Officer

On January 3, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s office responded to a hit and run crash in the 12700 block of T C Jester Boulevard in the Greater Inwood area. The victim and witnesses provided a description of the suspect vehicle.

Constable Deputies successfully located the at-fault driver, identified as 68-year-old Lynda Watson, who was found at a stop in a moving lane of traffic nearby. Watson displayed multiple signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered, confirming her state of intoxication. During the arrest, Watson reportedly bit the arresting officer.

Lynda Watson has been arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Assault of a Peace Officer. She is currently awaiting bond out of the 230th District Court and County Court 14.
