22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with SUV in West Houston
HOUSTON, Texas. A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday evening after crashing into an SUV at an intersection in southwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. on August 1st in the 400 block of Gessner Road.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences identified the victim as Malik Foster. The family has setup a gofundme page in honor of Malik.
According to investigators with the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division, Foster was riding a red Honda CBR500 motorcycle southbound on Gessner Road at a high rate of speed when he collided with a blue Nissan Pathfinder.
Police said the Pathfinder was pulling away from a stop sign at Beauregard Drive when the motorcycle struck the SUV.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Foster dead.
The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Houston Police Department said the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
