20 Cars Stolen From Rental Company in El Paso, Three Arrested in Multi-Agency Effort
On Monday, December 2, 2024, the El Paso Police Department responded to a burglary report at a property located at 7214 N. Mesa. Upon investigation, authorities discovered that 20 vehicles, valued at approximately $675,000, had been stolen from the site.
The Auto Theft Task Force immediately launched an investigation, which led to the recovery of ten vehicles within three hours. On December 3, police arrested three individuals in connection with the thefts:
- Aaron Banda, 25, of Mission Valley, El Paso
- David Saenz, 43, of Central El Paso
- Edward William Duckworth, 29, of East El Paso
Two additional stolen vehicles were located during the investigation, with Duckworth found in possession of the cars at the time of his arrest.
As part of the operation, several vehicles were tracked across the border to Juarez, Mexico. The Auto Theft Task Force, in collaboration with Mexican authorities, identified and detained two additional suspects: a 33-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man.
In total, 15 of the 20 stolen vehicles were recovered within two days of the initial theft. However, five vehicles remain unaccounted for, and the investigation is ongoing.
The arrested individuals face multiple charges and were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
