19-Year-Old Killed in High-Speed Motorcycle Crash on Gulf Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred around 1:50 a.m. on June 12 in the 2800 block of Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45).
The victim, a 19-year-old male, has not yet been officially identified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and C. Brothers, a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on the Gulf Freeway. The rider exited onto the South Freeway (State Highway 288) ramp at a high rate of speed, lost control, and struck the barrier on the flyover ramp. The impact ejected the rider, who fell into a grassy area near 1900 Pierce Street. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
