18-year-old Male Shot and Killed in Lincoln Park

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of another that occurred at 979 Grenshaw Street about 10:40 p.m. on Friday (May 12).

The identity of the deceased male, 18, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

A second male, 17, was transported to an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 9700 block of Maxroy Road and upon arrival found the male victims inside a silver Chevrolet sedan that had crashed into a tree.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  The passenger was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Further investigation revealed the shooting occurred in Lincoln Park at the above address.  After the victims were shot, they fled the location and subsequently crashed on Maxroy Road.

The suspects are described only as three unknown Hispanic males who fled in a black Toyota sedan.
