HOUSTON, TX – Harris County deputies responded Wednesday morning, January 7th, to a shooting along the feeder road at 11570 E. Sam Houston Parkway North near Garrett Road.
Preliminary findings from Sheriff Ed Gonzalez indicate that an 18-wheeler and a sedan were involved. The occupants of the sedan were a 23-year-old woman and her 15-year-old brother.
The sedan occupants claim that the truck clipped their side mirror with the trailer and that they were attempting to get the driver to stop. In response, the teen allegedly fired a single shot after seating on the the passenger window ledge and firing over the top of the sedan. The bullet went through the truck door and struck the truck driver. The injured truck driver was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
