14-Year-Old Arrested for Threats Against La Marque High School

Authorities say a 14-year-old girl has been arrested after allegedly sending email threats directed at La Marque High School on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

According to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, the threats were emailed to city officials and school administrators. Investigators traced the messages to an originating IP address, and La Marque Police Department detectives were able to identify and locate the suspect at her residence in Texas City.

Evidence was collected at the scene, and the juvenile was taken into custody on a charge of False Alarm or Report, a state jail felony under Texas law.

“The La Marque Police Department takes all threats against our schools and children very seriously,” the agency said in a statement. “We are committed to thoroughly investigating these incidents and pursuing prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.”
