Montgomery County Detention Officer Arrested for Improper Sexual Activity with Inmate

Detention Officer Oscar Vasquez, a six-year employee of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, has been arrested and charged with Felony Improper Sexual Activity with a Person in Custody. He has also resigned from his position.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office initiated a criminal investigation on February 21, 2025, following allegations of improper interactions between Vasquez and an inmate at the Montgomery County Jail. Vasquez was immediately suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
Detectives developed probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant. Vasquez was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
Sheriff Doolittle emphasized the agency’s commitment to transparency and accountability, stating, 1 “Criminal behavior will not be tolerated. Individuals in our jail also deserve protection, and any violation of their rights will be met with swift and decisive action.”
