Man Arrested for Fatally Shooting Sister Outside Houston Convenience Store

A man has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly shooting his sister outside a convenience store at 1206 Barker Cypress Road on Tuesday night.
The suspect, Dawud Parker, 44, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. The victim, identified as 48-year-old Alisha Kalee Parker, was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a black BMW sedan with multiple gunshot wounds around 9:05 p.m.
Houston Police Department patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene, where Alisha Parker was pronounced deceased.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage showing a man exiting the passenger seat of the BMW. A surveillance image was released to the public on Wednesday, leading to the identification of Dawud Parker as the suspect.
Parker was arrested by HPD Midwest Patrol Division officers on Thursday. He provided a statement to homicide detectives before being booked into the Harris County Jail.
