Second Suspect Arrested in Connection to July 2024 North Freeway Murder

Houston police have arrested 22-year-old Jrdon Mykel Joe in connection with the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Christian Segundo on July 12, 2024, at 5901 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road. Joe, who was charged with murder, is now in custody.

Earlier, 24-year-old Troy Kyles was also arrested and charged with murder for his role in the shooting. Both men are accused of being involved in the killing of Segundo, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a vehicle storage lot after an argument turned violent.

Witnesses reported a dispute over a vehicle that escalated when several suspects pulled out firearms and shot Segundo. The suspects fled the scene before being identified. Surveillance photos were released to the public, and after further investigation, Kyles and Joe were named as suspects.

Kyles was arrested on August 12, 2024, and Joe was taken into custody on January 28, 2025, by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force. Joe has been booked into the Harris County Jail.
