Man Killed, Juvenile Wounded in Shooting at Houston Apartment Complex
Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one man dead and a 15-year-old juvenile wounded at an apartment complex in the 5500 block of Enclave Fountains Lane on Monday, January 13, at approximately 9:20 p.m.
The deceased victim, a 21-year-old male, has not yet been identified, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The juvenile male, 15, was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. LaFour and Detective J. Diaz, officers responded to a shooting call at the apartment complex and found the adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. A second call led officers to the 5600 block of West Tidwell Road, where a juvenile male was found with a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses reported that three to four suspects fled the scene on foot and in a gray or silver Honda.
