88-Year-Old Woman Struck and Killed by Pickup Truck in Cedar Park

On December 16, 2024, at approximately 6:23 PM, the Cedar Park Police Department responded to an emergency call regarding a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in the 800 block of Royal Lane, near Lonestar Drive.

According to the investigation, a pickup truck was traveling south on Royal Lane when it struck an elderly female pedestrian. The victim, later identified as 88-year-old Elisabeth Barker of Cedar Park, was reportedly walking in the roadway in dark clothing on the west side of the road, in an unlit section. Detectives believe the driver of the truck was unable to see Barker in time to avoid the collision.

The driver stopped immediately after the incident, and no charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
