Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Chevrolet Camaro on Old Spanish Trail in South Houston

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 3700 Old Spanish Trail in South Houston around 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

A male pedestrian, whose identity and age are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was attempting to run across the street when he was struck by a gray Chevrolet Camaro traveling eastbound.

Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The 18-year-old driver of the Camaro showed no signs of impairment, was questioned by authorities, and later released.

The investigation is ongoing.
