Houston police are searching for a burgundy Kia Optima in connection to the fatal shooting of a 45-year-old man on December 5, 2024, at 11211 Almeda Genoa Road in South Belt/Ellington. The incident occurred at approximately 8:55 a.m. when the victim arrived at a gas station and told an employee he had been shot.

Officers at the scene provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived and transported the victim to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, where he was later pronounced dead. Surveillance images of the vehicle have been released, and investigators are hoping it can provide crucial information about the shooting.

Investigators determined that the victim had been shot while in his vehicle, which had multiple bullet strikes. At this time, no suspects or clear motive have been identified.
