Driver Arrested After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Northwest Houston
A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, on Addicks Satsuma Road near Georgetown Colony in Northwest Houston.
Yusdenis Llano was driving a grey 2019 Kia Sorento northbound when he struck two pedestrians, Minh Nguyen and Keturah Palmer, who were walking along the side of the road. Both victims were knocked into a ditch on the east side of the roadway. Nguyen was found dead at the scene, while Palmer was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Hospital in stable condition.
Llano fled the scene without stopping to render aid. However, a nearby Flock camera captured the Kia’s license plate, which led authorities to a residence where Llano was found. He admitted to driving the vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Llano was arrested and charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid with Death. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is continuing to investigate the case.
