Two Women Arrested in Home Burglary Case that Resulted in Shooting

Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in a shooting incident at 10035 Valley Park Drive about 10:55 a.m. on Sunday (September 3).

One suspect, Raynicia Prinsavia Cormier, 32, is charged with burglary with intent to commit other felonies in the 263rd State District Court. The second suspect, Faleasya Fee Carter, 51, is charged with misdemeanor unlawful carrying of a weapon in Harris County Criminal Court #8.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Wright reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence at the above address. The male homeowner,42, arrived at his residence and observed Cormier and Carter attempting to get into his residence. He observed Carter armed with a gun and began to wrestle with Carter over the gun, which went off. Carter was struck in the hip and was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to an area hospital in stable condition.

Both suspects were arrested without incident.
