Single Vehicle Crash in College Station Causes Structural Damage and Claims Dog’s Life

The College Station Police Department is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Wellborn and William D. Fitch. The incident resulted in the vehicle crashing into the backyard of a residence on Oldenburg Lane, causing significant structural damage to the home.

Three occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, including an adult male and two children. All three were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Tragically, a dog was in the backyard during the incident and has since died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and police have shut down the inside lane of Wellborn Road while crews work to remove the vehicle from the backyard. Residents are advised to avoid the area as cleanup efforts continue.
