Baytown Police Arrest Gang Member in SWAT Operation on Felony Firearm Discharge Charges

In a joint operation with the Special Investigations Division, the Baytown Police Department apprehended 26-year-old Marques Montgomery on November 16, 2023. The targeted arrest, carried out at an apartment on the 1200 block of Missouri Street, involved the Baytown Police SWAT team.

Montgomery was taken into custody without incident in connection with a Felony Deadly Conduct charge related to discharging a firearm, classified as a 3rd Degree Felony. Following his arrest, Harris County Magistrate Eva Flores set a $10,000 bond for Montgomery. He met the conditions for release and was discharged from the Harris County Jail on November 18, 2023.

This strategic intervention is part of the Baytown Police Department’s ongoing efforts to address organized criminal activities linked to street gangs in the Baytown area.
