Houston Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Homestead Road

The Houston Police Department is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 11700 Homestead Road in northeast Houston at approximately 6:55 a.m. today, December 5, 2023.

The victim, a 38-year-old male, was riding a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Homestead Road and approaching the intersection with East Mount Houston Road with a green light. Simultaneously, the driver of a silver Kia Sportage, a 42-year-old female, was traveling northbound on Homestead Road and attempted to turn left onto East Mount Houston Road with a yield arrow. The motorcycle collided with the Kia in the intersection.

The identity of the deceased male is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Paramedics, upon arrival at the scene, pronounced the motorcyclist dead. The female driver of the Kia was unharmed in the incident. She cooperated with authorities, was questioned, and subsequently released, pending further investigation.
