Repeat Offender Arrested for Third DUI in Harris County After Being Found Asleep at the Wheel

On December 2, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a report at 2100 FM 2920 in Spring concerning a male individual found passed out in a vehicle, positioned in a lane of moving traffic. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the driver, identified as 27-year-old Jose Nino, sound asleep behind the wheel.

After awakening Nino, deputies observed multiple signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, confirming that he was operating the vehicle under the influence. Subsequent investigation revealed that Nino had previously been convicted twice for Driving While Intoxicated.

Jose Nino was subsequently arrested and taken into custody, booked into the Harris County Jail. He now faces charges for Driving While Intoxicated – 3rd Offense. His bond has been set at $5,000.00.
