DNA Evidence Identifies 3 Suspects Wanted in Harris County ATM Burglary Case, Constable Says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – DNA evidence recovered during an investigation into an attempted ATM burglary has helped authorities identify three men now wanted on organized crime charges, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office.
Warrick Mason, 36, Jerome Thomas, 37, and Nolan Furr, 27, are wanted on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity.
The investigation began after Precinct 4 deputies responded to a business in the 23100 block of Aldine Westfield Road, where an employee reported seeing several men attempting to break into an ATM inside the business.
Investigators said the suspects damaged the ATM while attempting to steal from it but were unsuccessful. They then fled in a vehicle at a high rate of speed.
An employee provided deputies with a description of the vehicle, which was located a short time later. Authorities said the driver continued fleeing before crashing into the yard of a residence.
Everyone inside the vehicle ran from the crash scene, according to the Constable’s Office.
Deputies established a perimeter and apprehended Thomas. At the time, he was charged with criminal mischief and interference with a police service animal.
Investigators also collected evidence from the scene and submitted it for forensic testing.
In September 2026, detectives received information that DNA recovered from the evidence produced matches to multiple individuals, according to the Constable’s Office. Investigators reviewed the forensic results along with surveillance video and identified Mason and Furr as additional suspects.
Authorities subsequently obtained charges of engaging in organized criminal activity against Thomas, Mason and Furr.
The Constable’s Office said all three men have prior criminal histories involving various offenses, but the agency’s release did not provide details about individual convictions or the outcomes of those previous cases.
Thomas, Mason and Furr are currently wanted, according to authorities.
