Sugar Land Police Seek Suspect Who Attacked Woman With Baseball Bat

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Sugar Land Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of attacking a woman from behind with a baseball bat, leaving her seriously injured.

The aggravated assault occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m. on Friday, June 5, near Creekbend Drive and Fluor Daniel Drive in Sugar Land.

According to police, the woman was walking in the area when an unknown man approached her from behind and attacked her with a baseball bat.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police have not released additional information about the extent of her injuries or her current condition.

Police Release Composite Sketch of Suspect

As investigators continue working to identify the attacker, the victim recently met with a forensic sketch artist to develop a composite image of the man.

Police are now releasing that sketch in hopes someone recognizes the suspect or can provide information that leads investigators to his identity.

The suspect is described as a Black man believed to be in his 30s or 40s.

Following the attack, the man was seen leaving the area in an SUV. Investigators said the victim could not provide a definitive color for the vehicle.

Authorities have not announced an arrest or identified a possible motive for the assault.

The investigation remains ongoing.
