Nearly 120 Kilos of Cocaine Worth $4 Million Found During El Paso Tractor-Trailer Drug Bust

EL PASO, Texas – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office seized nearly 120 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $4 million during a targeted narcotics interdiction operation involving a commercial tractor-trailer, authorities announced.

The operation was conducted on July 29 by the Sheriff’s Office Gang and Narcotics Unit as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

According to investigators, deputies intercepted a commercial tractor-trailer believed to be involved in drug trafficking activities.

During the operation, authorities seized approximately 119.8 kilograms of cocaine, $7,000 in U.S. currency and the tractor-trailer allegedly used in the trafficking operation.

The sheriff’s office estimated the street value of the cocaine at approximately $4 million.

Officials said the seizure disrupted the movement of a significant quantity of illegal narcotics and represents another effort to combat drug trafficking organizations operating in and through the El Paso region.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said investigators remain focused on identifying, investigating and dismantling criminal organizations that threaten public safety.

Authorities are withholding additional details because the investigation remains active.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said it will continue working with local, state and federal law enforcement partners to combat drug trafficking and protect the community.
