HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A Cypress man has been arrested following a multi-agency investigation into online child exploitation involving a juvenile victim in Georgia, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division received a request for assistance from a Dawson County, Georgia detective regarding a case involving online exploitation. The investigation indicated the suspect was believed to be living in Cypress.
Authorities identified the suspect as 26-year-old Nathaniel Dameon Diaz. Detectives executed a search warrant at his residence, where officials said Diaz confessed to the crimes.
A forensic examination of seized electronic devices uncovered additional evidence, leading to charges including Possession of Child Pornography, Online Solicitation of a Minor, and Sexual Performance by a Child.
The charges were filed through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. Diaz was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail, where his total bond was set at $100,000.
