Deputies Rescue Woman in Mental Health Crisis from Pond in Northeast Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Precinct 3 deputies and emergency responders rescued a woman experiencing a mental health crisis after finding her floating in a pond Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched on March 25, 2026, to a reported medical emergency at 11899 W. Lake Houston Parkway. Upon arrival, they observed a woman in distress floating on her back in a nearby pond and going in and out of consciousness.
Deputies and EMS personnel entered the water and secured the woman using a life jacket. During the rescue, she told responders she was experiencing a mental health crisis.
The woman was safely removed from the water and evaluated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
