LA PORTE, Texas – A 26-year-old La Porte man is in custody after a domestic dispute last year led police to discover dozens of illicit images on his electronic devices. Landon Lee Anslum was arrested without incident on Thursday, March 19, 2026, on multiple counts of possession and promotion of child pornography.

The investigation began in July 2025, when La Porte Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment in the 1800 block of State Highway 146. According to authorities, the argument between Anslum and a woman sharing the residence centered on allegations that child pornography had been found on his phone. Officers seized several devices, including cell phones and computers, on the night of the initial call.

Forensic examinations of the equipment later revealed more than 50 images depicting child pornography, including victims under the age of 10. Investigators also discovered several images of a live 14-year-old victim residing in Seabrook, Texas.

Warrants for Anslum’s arrest were issued by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Division. He is currently being held in the Harris County Jail.

The La Porte Police Department issued a statement following the arrest, noting their ongoing commitment “to safeguarding the children of its local communities and seeking the prosecution of those who threaten them.”
