Houston Police Investigating Fatal Shooting of 20-Year-Old in Greater Eastwood

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man that occurred around 8 p.m. Sunday, February 15, in the Greater Eastwood area.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 5103 Bell Street and found the victim sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Davidson and J. Robles, further investigation revealed the victim was initially shot while sitting in his vehicle outside a residence in the 5100 block of Clay Street. After being shot, he fled the scene in his vehicle before crashing at Bell Street.
Witnesses told investigators they heard gunshots and then saw two males fleeing northbound on foot through M.C. Cullinan Park.
