Crime Stoppers Tip Leads To Arrest Of Aggravated Assault Fugitive In Waller

WALLER, Texas – A woman wanted on a felony aggravated assault charge was taken into custody Monday after a Crime Stoppers tip led investigators to her location, according to the Waller County Sheriff’s Office.
On January 26, 2026, members of the WCSO Warrant Unit received information from a Harris County Crime Stoppers tip line regarding the possible whereabouts of Maritza Gomez-Eufracio, who was wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Investigators acted quickly on the tip and located Gomez-Eufracio at an address within the City of Waller.
Authorities said Gomez-Eufracio was taken into custody without incident within six hours of the tip being received. The arrest operation was supported by the WCSO K-9 Unit, WCSO UAV (drone) Unit, and the Prairie View Police Department.
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office credited the successful arrest to cooperation between agencies and assistance from the public, emphasizing that community tips play a critical role in locating fugitives and enhancing public safety.
Gomez-Eufracio was taken into custody and will face the outstanding aggravated assault charge.
