Armed Ex Enters Cedar Park Apartment, Demands Mother and Children Leave Before Police Step In

CEDAR PARK, Texas – On Monday, January 19, 2026, officers with the Cedar Park Police Department responded to a reported home invasion at an apartment in the 600 block of Doris Lane in Cedar Park.

When officers arrived, they learned an armed male suspect was inside the residence and that two small children were present. Officers safely detained the suspect without injury. He was identified as Max Kordale Pechacek, 36, of Cedar Park.

The investigation revealed Pechacek had previously been involved in a romantic relationship with the victim. Police determined he forcibly entered the apartment while armed with multiple firearms and demanded that the victim and her children leave the residence with him and go to an unknown location. Officers intervened before the situation escalated further.

Pechacek was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit a Felony. He remains in the Williamson County Jail with bond set at $100,000.

Police emphasized that this incident underscores the serious and potentially dangerous nature of domestic violence situations. Cedar Park Police urge anyone experiencing domestic violence, or who knows someone who may be at risk, to seek help immediately, noting that early intervention can save lives.
