Sugar Land Officers Arrest Two Suspects After Bank Jugging Incident

Sugar Land, Texas – On Thursday evening, December 4, 2025, Sugar Land Police Evening Shift officers made two arrests after stopping a vehicle linked to a jugging that had just occurred at a nearby shopping center.
According to police, officers were responding to an unrelated call for service when they spotted the vehicle occupied by two individuals believed to be involved in the crime. Their quick response and attention to detail led to a successful traffic stop and the detention of both suspects.
The suspects, identified as Keuntae Bates and Christopher Gordan, are each charged with Jugging, a third-degree felony under the updated state law, as well as Possession of Marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.
Sugar Land Police said the swift arrests highlight the kind of proactive, behind-the-scenes work officers carry out daily to keep the community safe.
