Former Volunteer Youth Pastor Arrested on Child Pornography Charge in Harris County
Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigators have charged a former volunteer youth pastor with possession of child pornography following a High-Tech Crime Unit investigation.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, a detective filed a felony charge on November 26, 2025, against 27-year-old Carter August Thomas. Thomas had recently served as a volunteer youth pastor at Second Baptist Church, located at 6400 Woodway Drive in Houston.
On Wednesday, December 3, District 5 Crime Reduction Unit deputies arrested Thomas on the open warrant. He was booked into the Harris County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
