Houston Man Arrested in Fatal Bus Stop Death

Houston police have arrested 44-year-old Carl Taylor in connection with the death of a man found at a bus stop in the 600 block of East Tidwell on November 25. Taylor faces charges of murder and tampering with evidence in the 179th Criminal District Court.

According to HPD Homicide Division, officers responded to a report of a male found unresponsive in a wheelchair at the bus stop around 8:30 a.m. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. He had sustained multiple injuries.

Investigators located evidence of the crime in a nearby apartment, where Taylor, the resident, was subsequently taken into custody. The identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The investigation remains active as authorities continue gathering details surrounding the incident.
