Houston Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on West Hardy Road in the Northside

Houston police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday, November 26, in the 7300 block of West Hardy Road. The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Carlo Martinez Tamayo.

According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, the driver of a silver Toyota Tundra was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on West Hardy Road when the vehicle lost control at a curve. The truck left the roadway, struck two concrete pillars supporting the Hardy Toll Road, and rolled several times before coming to rest in the center median.

Martinez Tamayo was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash.

The investigation remains active, and police are working to determine the factors that contributed to the crash.
