Houston Police Releases Surveillance Video in October Fatal Shooting in Alief

HOUSTON, TX – Houston police have released surveillance footage of a white pickup truck linked to the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Alan Tavera on October 25 in the 6400 block of Briar Terrace Drive in Alief.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Holbrook and C. Lafour, along with Detective E. Camacho, reported that officers responded to a crash at the location after a red Nissan Titan struck a parked vehicle. Houston Fire Department personnel pronounced Tavera deceased at the scene; investigators confirmed he had suffered at least one gunshot wound.

The released video shows the white pickup truck and several individuals, believed to be at least four males, who may have information about the incident.
