15-Year-Old Charged in Fatal Kassarine Pass Hit-and-Run in Houston

Houston police have charged a 15-year-old suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on Kassarine Pass early Sunday morning, November 9.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:55 a.m. in the 7000 block of Kassarine Pass. A red GMC Sierra traveling southbound struck a female pedestrian with its side mirror before hitting a male in the roadway. The driver did not stop to render aid. The male victim was transported to a hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics, where he was pronounced deceased. The female sustained injuries but survived.

The juvenile suspect was later located and taken into custody. He has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation on charges of failure to stop and render aid causing death and failure to stop and render aid causing bodily injury. The identities of the victim and juvenile suspect are not publicly released.
