Houston Police Seek Information in July Homicide of East Harris County 27-year-old Man

Houston Police Homicide investigators are urging the public to come forward with any information related to the death of 27-year-old Cedrick Edmonson in east Harris County. The incident occurred on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at approximately 9:50 p.m., prompting deputies to respond to a 911 call reporting a male shot in the 14500 block of Victoria Street.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered several individuals attempting to administer lifesaving treatment to the victim. Cedrick Edmonson was swiftly transported by EMS to a local hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries later that night.

Investigations revealed that Cedrick had been attending a family gathering at a residence located near the intersection of Victoria and Nancy Rose. After informing his friends that he was leaving the party, he waited outside for his ride to arrive.

A crucial witness at the scene reported seeing a dark-colored truck fleeing from the area after the sound of gunshots. This witness then discovered Cedrick lying in a grass lot.
