El Paso Man Arrested for Kidnapping After Victim Found Safe

EL PASO, TX – On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 7:53 p.m. to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 1500 block of Fitzroy Drive.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with witnesses who reported that a man had jumped a fence and forcibly entered a nearby residence. A second witness stated that the man then forced a 46-year-old woman into a white Nissan Armada and fled the scene.

Through investigation, the suspect was identified as 38-year-old Jorge Humberto Centeno. The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit obtained an arrest warrant for Centeno on a charge of kidnapping.

Deputies later located Centeno’s vehicle at a residence in the 1200 block of Ange Street. After surrounding the home and attempting to make contact, the Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team was activated to assist. Centeno ultimately exited the residence and surrendered without incident.

The victim was located inside the residence and was unharmed. Centeno was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on the kidnapping charge and is being held without bond.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for their cooperation and emphasized the importance of reporting suspicious activity promptly.
