Suspect Charged in Fatal Downtown Houston Shooting That Killed Young Man

HOUSTON – Houston police have charged Tristin Terrel Williams, 38, with murder in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded on February 16 at 305 Hadley Street.
The victim killed in the shooting has been identified as 21-year-old Julian Comeaux. A second victim, a 24-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Investigators say the victims were out with friends when they were told someone was breaking into a member of their group’s vehicle. When they confronted the suspect, the suspect opened fire, striking two people before fleeing the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Comeaux dead at the scene.
Following an investigation involving the Houston Forensic Science Center and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, detectives identified Williams as the suspect. He was later arrested and charged in the 174th Criminal District Court.
