Man Shot After Argument Turns Violent in Northwest Harris County Neighborhood

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man was hospitalized Friday night after being shot during a drive-by incident in the Northwest Park area, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 11 p.m. on October 17, 2025, to the 6600 block of Dusty Dawn Drive, where they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital and was last reported in critical but stable condition.

Investigators say the victim was standing outside a home with friends when a vehicle pulled up. The victim and the driver reportedly got into a verbal argument before the driver left the scene. A short time later, the driver returned and shot the victim.

Detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Robbery/Assault Unit are working to identify the suspect.
