Former Leander ISD Transportation Employee Arrested for Indecency with a Child
CEDAR PARK, Texas—The Cedar Park Police Department (CPPD) has arrested a former Leander ISD (LISD) transportation employee following an investigation into allegations of child indecency.
On October 14, 2025, CPPD took Steven Wade Lackey, 70, into custody. He has been charged with two counts of Indecency with a Child and was booked into the Williamson County Jail.
The investigation began a week earlier, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, when the Cedar Park Police Department received a report from Leander ISD regarding the allegations involving one of their transportation employees. The case was immediately assigned to the CPPD’s Special Victims Unit, which secured an arrest warrant after a swift investigation.
