Two Arrested After Security Guard Assaulted in El Paso, Officers Intervened

EL PASO, Texas—Two individuals have been arrested after a security guard was assaulted while attempting to escort a patron out of an establishment on N. Mesa.
The incident occurred at 2708 N. Mesa when a security guard attempted to remove an individual from the premises due to vomiting inside. The patron, identified as Nima Dhendup, 25, then struck the security guard. Several individuals accompanying Dhendup also began assaulting the guard.
When police arrived, they found a chaotic scene with approximately 30 to 40 people yelling. While officers were assisting the victim, Menda Wangchuk Dorji, 25, reportedly continued to intervene and ignored officers’ commands.
As a result, both Dhendup and Dorji were charged and booked into the El Paso County Jail. Dhendup faces a charge of Assault Public Servant with a $10,000 bond. Dorji is charged with Resist Arrest Search with a $5,000 bond.
