Harris County Deputies Investigating Shooting Death of Man Found on Roadside

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, around 11:00 p.m., Harris County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the 13700 block of Lakewood Forest after a passerby discovered an unresponsive man on the side of the road.

At first, the scene appeared to be a fatal hit-and-run accident, and the Sheriff’s Office Vehicle Crimes Unit began investigating. However, detectives later determined the victim had actually suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Quoc Nguyen, who lived in the surrounding neighborhood. Detectives are now working to determine whether the shooting occurred at the scene or if Nguyen’s body was left there after the incident.
