League City Man Charged With Child Pornography

LEAGUE CITY, Texas—A Texas City man is facing multiple child pornography charges after a nearly six-month investigation led by the League City Police Department and the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
On Wednesday, September 3, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 8800 block of Emmett F. Lowry Expressway in Texas City. They seized several electronic devices, which were found to contain child pornography. The investigation began in March after a cyber-tip was received from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The suspect, Valentine Garcia, 33, was arrested without incident and charged with Possession of Child Pornography – Visual Material Depicting Sexual Assault of a Child and Possession of Child Pornography – 50 or More Visual Depictions. His bond was set at $250,000 for each charge.
The League City Police Department thanked the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force and the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Task Force for their assistance in the case.
