Investigation Underway into Death of Man Found Outside Westheimer Road Business

The Houston Police Department is investigating the death of Jessie Mobley, 34, who was found deceased outside a business at 14099 Westheimer Road around 9:05 a.m. on Friday, August 8.
Officers responded to reports of a man found sitting in the parking lot of a strip center. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Mobley dead at the scene.
According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective J. Wallschlaeger, further investigation revealed Mobley had entered a restaurant at the location the previous night. Employees reported that after eating, Mobley fell asleep at a table and became unresponsive. Believing he might be homeless, staff moved him outside with his belongings and seated him.
The cause of death is pending autopsy results from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. At this time, authorities do not suspect foul play in Mobley’s death.
