Shooting and Crash on JFK Boulevard Under Grand Jury Review

HOUSTON – The investigation into the death of a man found after a crash on John F. Kennedy Boulevard will be referred to a Harris County grand jury, Houston police said.
Officers responded about 1:20 p.m. Thursday to a two-vehicle crash at John F. Kennedy Boulevard and North Sam Houston Parkway East. Police found an unresponsive man, 26, in the passenger seat of one vehicle with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification of family.
Police also responded to a related shooting call at 2200 North Sam Houston Parkway East. A juvenile male later turned himself in and said he was involved in the shooting.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, investigators said the case will be presented to a grand jury.
