Driver Killed After Truck Goes Airborne, Lands in Greens Bayou

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A man was killed early Tuesday morning after his truck went airborne and landed on the bank of Greens Bayou, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred on July 22, 2025, at approximately 1:04 a.m. in the 11000 block of Veterans Memorial Drive. Authorities say Edgar Anaya was driving a gray 2019 Ford F-150 southbound when he failed to maintain a single lane, veered off the roadway, and struck the edge of a gravel driveway.

The impact caused the truck to become airborne before coming to rest on the southern bank of Greens Bayou.

Anaya was transported to Ben Taub Hospital by Harris County Emergency Corps Medic 98, where he was pronounced deceased by Dr. Severe due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
