Second Suspect Charged in May South Houston Fatal Shooting; One Still at Large

HOUSTON, TX — Charges have been filed against a second suspect in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Jermon Williams at the Redford Apartments, 1400 Redford Street, in South Houston on May 15.
Eighteen-year-old Javeon Washington faces capital murder charges in the 209th State District Court and remains at large. Twenty-one-year-old Tyrell Robinson was arrested and charged with murder in the 174th State District Court.
Houston police responded to the shooting around 2:35 a.m., discovering Williams suffering from gunshot wounds in the apartment complex parking lot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots prior to officers’ arrival. Robinson was identified and arrested during the investigation. Further efforts led to the identification of Washington as an additional suspect.
