Suspect Arrested in Fatal Stabbing on South Braeswood Boulevard

A man has been arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 8801 South Braeswood Boulevard on Sunday, June 29.

Jose Ignacio Diaz Pina, 31, is charged with murder in the 497th State District Court.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing around 8:35 p.m. and found a woman with multiple stab wounds inside a bedroom. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. Her identity is pending notification to family.

Diaz Pina returned to the scene and surrendered to officers. He was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail.
