Suspect Arrested in Fatal June 3 Shooting at Westheimer Road Parking Garage in Houston

Houston Police have arrested Marko Cinan, 23, and charged him with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Anthony Sanders on June 3.

The incident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on June 3 at a parking garage in the 5015 block of Westheimer Road. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks reported that officers responded to a shooting call and found a male, later identified as Mr. Sanders, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Sanders was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Responding officers also observed a black Chrysler 300 with shattered windows fleeing the scene. The vehicle was located nearby, and three males were initially detained, questioned, and subsequently released.

Further investigation identified Cinan as a suspect in the shooting. On Wednesday, June 25, officers with HPD’s Narcotics Tactical Team arrested Cinan, and he was booked into the Harris County Jail.
