One Dead, Two Injured in El Paso’s Nations Tobin Park Shooting, Suspect Captured

A shooting at Nations Tobin Park on Friday, June 20, left one man dead and two others injured. El Paso Police officers responded to the scene at 8831 Railroad Drive, where they found three male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers and first responders provided immediate medical assistance before transporting the victims to area hospitals. One of the victims, 34-year-old Jose Jesus Gonzalez Jr., succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The two other victims were identified as 22-year-old Jacob Mathew Gonzalez and 22-year-old Ethan Alexander Ramos. Both sustained injuries and remain hospitalized.
The El Paso Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit launched an investigation and identified 22-year-old Robert Joseph Privett as the suspect. Privett was later apprehended and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
He has been charged with Murder, and his bond has been set at $1 million.
